It is in Tamiladu (Chennai) where St. Thomas the Apostle was martyred and buried; his tomb is there. Christians are still a minority in India, making up only 2.3 percent of the total population of 1.2 billion people. Your donations to this mission appeal will help to fund all the ministries in this Diocese where the majority of the people are farmers and coolie workers.
Christian Missionaries and churches are regular targets of attacks and persecution by the Fundamentalists.
